I will take a different approach that QR codes are just a weak attempt of being 'on top of the social media wave' comment. I think social media and mobile are two completely different platforms. QR codes have everything to do with mobile and ease of access for mobile users and quick gratification. Social media is about the sharing of information with a circle of friends or acquaintance. So they are separate but can be smartly used together. A QR code that leads you to a secret page or an exclusive discount that can be shared on your favorite social network is one example how they can work together. But QR codes are not dependent on social media to be effective. I love the fact that you'res bringing mobile to the forefront of the discussion in the b2b marketplace.
